Loch Lomond California Information

Loch Lomond is a small mountain resort and was called "Little Italy" many years ago. This makes perfect sense since the sleepy yet vibrant lake front community has a great amount of Italian delicatessen’s and wine makers there! There are fine private resorts such as Italian Village and Biggi's Family Club that pulsate with the feelings of the Old Country! You will find lodging, a private campground, plus a fine and tasty grocery store with a deli, mailing services, restaurant and bar and the most unforgettable cup of java this side of the Sierra’s!

On the west side of the town of Loch Lomond California is the Loch Lomond Vernal Pool Ecological Reserve. This is a vernal pond managed by the California Fish and Game Commission that is a great place for the children to experience. The town is not just another Northern California destination, hardly; it has outdoor activities and a host of historically accurate natural resources. This is the trail that the pioneers from ‘The Gold Rush’ days used to get from the East to the West, and the gold!

Loch Lomond California has plenty of fine restaurants and adequate lodging that is sure to suite even the most finicky of taste. The wine country of Napa Valley and Northern California in general is the jewel of this Mecca for outdoor activists. The town has an art festival each fall which brings in a vast number of visitors that just love to buy up the arts and crafts from the historically active native population there. Any trip towards Northern California must include a visit to this wonderful ‘Gateway to the Sierras’. The town is just a couple hours north of San Francisco and host a variety of festivals and trade shows. The time of your life is waiting in Lomond!
